Event Description

Discover how to get the "big brands" behind your program

Utilities and government agencies have well-known local energy brands… but market transformation requires the non-energy brands to share the program goals. Learn how to partner with manufacturers and retailers to help get out the word out about local energy efficiency initiatives.

This webinar will offer candid insights about partnering strategies and tactics from representatives of companies with a national brand presence and utilities that have successfully worked with them.

During this Web Exchange, you will gain these insights on how to:

  • Navigate the organizational structure of most national chains and equipment manufacturers to find the right contact
  • Talk to big businesses about your programs (hint: you say high efficiency and they think high profit margins)
  • Learn to use the manufacturer's marketing strength and relationship with retailers to promote your energy programs
  • Craft your "pitch" to articulate how your program goals align with their program goals
  • Methods to offer "promotional consideration" without getting in trouble for "picking favorites" in the retail marketplace
  • Reach out to the "big box" chains without alienating smaller retailers
  • Get them to use your marketing materials (and how to get them to mention you in their materials)

Who should attend? Energy and water utility and state/local government staff who design and implement programs that encourage homeowners to make energy/water efficiency and renewable energy improvements

Randy,

My apologies for not disclosing the cost of the webinar; this specific Leadership Academy is free for only Utility and Government employees and members of EGIA. After doing some research I see that you are BPI Certified. We currently have a membership special we are offering in collaboration with BPI. If you would like to join EGIA under the BPI membership special that $195 will gain you access to our Leadership Academy archives as well as future web exchanges.
