DESCRIPTION:This course gives an introduction to OSHA, the standards, 
 general safety and health provisions, the general duty clause and requ
 irements for competent persons. The course then continues with specifi
 c emphasis on the Electrical standard and Fall Protection. Topics that
  may also be covered as needed include Personal Protective Equipment, 
 Tools-Hand and Power, Scaffolds, Cranes & Conveyors, Excavations, Stai
 rways and Ladders. Upon successful completion of the course the studen
 t receives a 10 hour Construction Safety Training card which does not 
 expire. Refresher training is recommended to maintain awareness of cha
 nges in OSHA regulations and basic competencies.NYC requires that all 
 construction superintendents attend the 10 hour Construction Safety Co
 urse. NYS now require that all site personnel attend the OSHA 10 hr fo
