Online Manual-J Training

Event Details

Event Description

This 1-month online Manual- Training course will provide you with a solid overview of Manual-J concepts, as well as a thorough training on on the Wrightsoft Right-J and Draw modules. It's by-far the most advanced online Manual- Training available!

We've broken down each task in the Wrightsoft software into a video library, so you can reference it as often as you'd like throughout the course. You'll have the opportunity to perform load calculations on many different sample-houses, then watch a video of the same house being completed by the instructor. You can follow along, step-by-step, and compare your loads to the instructor's loads when you're finished. The instructor will also go through the detailed reports, which will allow you to accurately compare your model to their's. This instant feedback will help you spot your mistakes, and learn as you go!

We'll cover unique topics such as:

  • How to model sealed attic spaces (spray foam roof decks)
  • How to model sealed and/or conditioned crawlspaces
  • How to build a custom wall assembly (like a kneewall with foam board on the back)
  • How to enter blower door data in Wrightsoft
  • How to model duct leakage based off of an actual duct leakage test @ 25 pascals
  • How to model daylight basements
  • The top mistakes typically made when performing Manual-J's using Wrightsoft
  • How to import PDF drawings so you can trace the plans (huge time saver!)
  • How to model attached garages
  • How to input ERV's, HRV's, and other ventilation systems
  • How to model zones and/or multiple systems
  • How to "check-out" when you think you're finished
  • How to interpret the reports!
