SUMMARY:Houses That Work Educational Series Being Offered in Ohio
DESCRIPTION:The Energy and Environmental Building Alliance (EEBA) will
be offering Houses That Work™ training sessions in 5 different loca
tions in Ohio at the end of September. Houses That WorkTM is a nationa
lly acclaimed training and education program and is based on years of
field research from the Department of Energy’s Building America Prog
ram.\n \nHouses that WorkTM delivers education based on the Building
America Program’s experience for improved building performance and i
ncreased profitability. The climate-specific content includes measurem
ent tools, design concepts, application demonstrations, and case studi
es.\n \nThese classes allow the students to gain a better understandi
ng of building science, the “house-as-a-system” approach, and othe
r fundamentals of what makes a house “work”. Students can take wha
t they have learned and apply it to their field which can be anything
from remodeling existing buildings, new construction, architecture, an
d real estate. This training can help influence how they market themse
lves and their businesses.\n \nAttending one theses educational sessi
ons is also a great way to earn continuing education credits. Houses T
hat Work education qualifies for CEU credit for AIA, AIBD, BPI, RESNET
, NAHB and is approved by the USGBC for GBCI CE Hours towards LEED cre
dentialing maintenance.\n \nListed below are the 5 locations which ha
ve been chosen for sessions in September:\n \nSeptember 23rd – Colu
mbus September 26th – Toledo September 27th – Cleveland September
 29th – Dayton September 30th – Youngstown/Warren\n \nThese sessio
ns are open to ANYONE who is interested in residential construction. T
he cost per session is only $25 (normally $125) so this is a great dea
l! Visit the EEBA website for more information and to register.\n\nFor
