Event Description

Economic Opportunity Studies (EOS) has designed an unprecedented interactive experience for professionals in affordable energy organizations without the pesky cost and burden of travel. The EOS Partnerships Conference 2014 is one-of-a-kind national conference on August 6-7 from 11AM – 6PM EDT.

You will have two choices for participating:

  • Come to an intimate event in Washington, DC and interact with speakers, peers, and on-line attendees nationwide,

OR

  • Participate online through Simulcast sessions to connect with attendees both online and at the DC meeting without the burden of costly travel.

EOS Partnerships Conference 2014 is designed for weatherization and community action energy professionals, and their state, federal, and private partners. It will provide tools and concepts to help leverage additional resources to invest in energy efficiency and clean energy upgrades for low- and moderate-income housing and communities. All of the sessions and speakers offer participants a deep understanding of the changing resources and practices in the energy services markets.

Our presenters are drawn from influential national organizations in the field and from leaders of our national and local programs. Our agenda includes the following with more to come:

Plenary Sessions:

  • The Utility of the Future
  • Washington Update: Elections 2014 and energy policy
  • The Impact of the EPA Coal-Reduction Rule on Utility Rates and Programs – How to protect low-income consumers

 

Plenary Panels:

  • What is the ideal Energy Affordability Program? What policy and rule changes go with it?
  • Winning a Larger Share of Ratepayer Efficiency Funds for Low-Income Retrofits: How To’s
  • Dialogue with environmental groups in search of common ground with low-income communities and programs

Breakout Sessions:

  • What can local Weatherizers offer owners of assisted multi-family housing to win new projects?
  • What home performance quality assurances are needed to win more funds from homeowners, funders, and taxpayers?
  • Foundations, Mission-Based Investors, and their Growing Investments in Efficient, Affordable Housing and Sustainable Community Development: Who and what wins their investments?

 

Networking Sessions: Time blocks are reserved for organized networking activities with on-site and online participants. Mobile devices are welcome for even more of the virtual experience!
