The Entry Level Solar Photovoltaic course is the first step to becoming a NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installer. NABCEP certification is generally acknowledged as the ""gold standard"" for professional accreditation in the solar energy industry, and gives employers and customers a degree of certainty that practitioners have voluntarily met the high standards and qualifications set by NABCEP. CleanEdison is a registered, North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) Entry Level Exam provider, and this course is an IREC ISPQ accredited training program. Students who complete this course are eligible to sit for the NABCEP Entry Level Exam.
This course is ideal for roofers, electricians, contractors, architects, builders, aspiring solar professionals or anyone interested in solar PV installation. The classroom component of CleanEdison's Solar PV Boot Camp can be taken either in person or online.
CleanEdison's Solar Photovoltaic Entry Level Boot Camp thoroughly covers the topics outlined in the NABCEP Photovoltaic Entry Level Learning Objectives, which is the crucial first step in the certification process. Our 5-day, 40 hour course includes three eight-hour days of live classroom training and two eight-hour days of live hands-on field training. This course is designed to introduce solar energy in both theory and application and to immerse students in the key concepts of solar PV design, installation and safety.Students will learn the essentials of a comprehensive solar installation, including the electrical components, system sizing and the mechanical and electrical design of arrays.
CleanEdison is a registered, North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) Entry Level Exam provider. Students who complete this course are eligible to sit for the NABCEP Entry Level Exam. Successful completion of this course and a passing score on the NABCEP Entry Level Exam can provide participants up to 18 advanced credit hours toward the education requirements necessary to sit for the NABCEP Photovoltaic Installer Certification exam.
