Event Description

WHY TAKE THIS COURSE:

By combining the BPI Building Analyst and Envelope Professional certification courses into one program, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the all the knowledge and skills needed to be a qualified energy auditor, while saving time and money on training. Together, the Building Analyst and Envelope Professional certifications make your firm eligible for accreditation by The Building Performance Institute (BPI). BPI Accreditation is mandatory for participation in many state and federal grant incentives.

This course is ideal for home inspectors, HVAC technicians, general contractors, home builders and anyone interested in a career in energy auditing. The classroom component of the Building Analyst and Envelope Professional training courses can be taken either in person or online.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

CleanEdison's four-day intensive BA/ES Combo Course combines our BPI Building Analyst Training and Envelope Training into a concise program. The course is based on the BPI Standards, which emphasize the 'house-as-a-system' approach to inspecting a home, where all systems are interconnected: from the HVAC equipment, to the envelope, the foundation, walls, roof, doors and windows. You will gain knowledge and experience in using diagnostic equipment such as blower doors and combustion analyzers to ensure that systems are functioning together to maximize home performance, comfort, energy efficiency, safety, and durability.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

  • 5-day course includes 20 hours of classroom instruction (live or online) and 8 hours of live field training
  • Access to 20+ hours of additional online training materials
  • All course materials and handbooks
  • All exam fees, written and field exam scheduling
  • CleanEdison Pass Guarantee: if you do not pass the certification exam on your first try, you may re-take the course at no additional cost

CERTIFICATION

The BPI Building Analyst/Envelope Professional course prepares students to sit for the 100-question written exams and perform the two-hour field exams for both the Building Analyst certification and Envelope Professional certification. A 70% on the written exams and successful completion of the field exams will earn the candidate the nationally recognized BPI Building Analyst and BPI Envelope Shell certifications.
